We Shall Believe the Report of the Lord!

"Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?" Isaiah 53:1

Oftentimes we encounter situations that we must choose. One factor that greatly influences our decisions is our belief system. Will we rely on the beliefs of limited natural abilities and words of humanity? Or will we believe in the supernatural power and Word of God? His Word is forever settled in Heaven (Psalm 119:89). The Word of God will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Some folks in this world even may rely on the "word" from the fortune cookie, more than the "Word" from Holy Bible! We must trust in the Word of God. Will you choose to receive the report from the arm and the hand of flesh or the report from the revealed Arm and the Hand of the Lord?

Retrospectively, years ago as a single adult, after taking a physical examination and an x-ray, my medical doctor arranged for me to undergo further testing the next week with a specialist, after viewing on my x-ray a mass appearing on my liver. Upon receiving this report, I went to my church to pray afterwards and laid this doctor's report on the altar before the Lord, noting what Hezekiah did when he received a bad report (letter). "And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. And Hezekiah prayed unto the LORD..." Isaiah 37:14-15. As a result, God heard his prayers, and turned his situation around for the best outcome.

Upon spreading this report out to the Lord on the altar, I remember praying, "God, I don't like this report. I don't want this report. If this is not Your will, I do not receive this report. I want You to give me a report. I want Your report." And then I released it in the Spirit to Him. At the end of that week, I was already scheduled to attend revival services at a neighboring church in Texas with some church singles. No one in the church service that night was aware of the report I recently received. All of a sudden during altar call the visiting evangelist, Bro. John Arcovio, pointed me out from the platform and prophesied that the Lord was healing me now and pointed towards the area of my liver. I could literally feel something move there. The following week, I went to specialist. This 1-hour visit ended up being over 3 hours long, because I was asked to do the procedure twice more. Finally the nurse returned with the doctor and they showed me an original x-ray and a current one and said "That mass was definitely there, and we have tested you over and over again, and it is no longer there." PRAISE GOD! I told them "God healed me!" Both shook their heads in agreement. I was more than happy to believe God's report...and this same report and arm of the Lord was revealed to the specialist and his nurse!

Based on God's divine will, if ever confronted with any need, will you choose not to accept the hopeless words from...a doctor, but rather a hopeful Word from...The Doctor? Jesus can make all things well! He said..."If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." As the song proclaims, "Whose report will you believe? We shall believe the report of the Lord! His report says I am healed. His report says I am filled. His report says I am free. His report says victory!" So, whose report will you believe? I choose to believe the report of the Lord!
